Answering Question, "Where Do I Start?" - Goals

In a world that is ever changing and the pace seems to be getting faster each moment, one can easily get lost or even buried in the grind and shuffle.

So what is the secret to moving forward and to find yourself one day at your desired destination? Some will say that it is goals that will do the trick, others are quick to point out a 7-step process and there are even those who say just wing it because you can't do anything about your destiny anyway.

I tend to agree with the goals, though this is no secret, by setting goals or making a plan and then working it will get you there faster. At least you will know you are there when you arrive.

I came across this from an old movie and found it to be a good point of reference to the question, "where do I start?". After you read it, read it again and post your thoughts.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

Today: It is a moment of light surrounded on all sides by darkness and oblivion. In the entire history of the universe, let alone in your own history, there has never been another just like it and there will never be another just like it again. It is the point to which all your yesterdays have been leading since the hour of your birth. It is the point from which all your tomorrows will proceed until the hour of your death.

All other days have either disappeared into darkness and oblivion or not yet emerged from it. Today is the only day there is.

Success Is To Go Where The People Are

Somebody needs you. Go find them. Move toward those who need you. Write a note to a dear friend. Keep in touch with your customers. Get closer to your family members. You will not succeed in life unless you are connected to people.

Success involves people. The people you need to succeed may not always come to you, you may have to go to them. This is the way it is in most cases. Why do you think the newspapers have a stand or paper machine on every corner or in every store? They understand that you have to go where the people are in order to succeed.

The adage that says "you will never possess what you are unwilling to pursue" is so true. You have to reach out, you must go to where the people are and reach them. Leave your comfort zone and walk among unchartered ground. That is where you will find the success for which you are searching.

Think of it this way. If you are a fisherman you would not fish for the trophy catch in stagnated water. You would need to go to where there is fresh water. That's where the fish are.

Success always begins somewhere.

Success always begins at some moment.

Success always begins with someone.

You must go where the people are.

Success is yours. Go get it.

Live Your Joy - Focus on the Goal

Every day brings new adventures, new opportunities and of course new worries. Many times we fail to see the first two because our worries seem to be more dominate stealing us of our joy.

I know it is not always easy to keep your worries at bay but ther is an old saying that goes like this:

"Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

This doesn't mean you have to not think of tomorrow for only failure can result if you do not. Be a tomorrow thinker and not a worrier. Understand your situation and focus on what it takes to correct and get back on track.

Your time is limited here so don't waste it. To understand more about being a tomorrow thinker, read the article at http://www.infoworthsharing.com/a-14.html

Enjoy and live your joy.

To Be An Entrepreneur You Must Be Willing To Fire

In the 1980's, I saw an interview with an oil tycoon from
Oklahoma. He built the largest independent oil company in the
United States and flourished as an entrepreneur after leaving it,
generating hundreds of millions of dollars in the process.

Probably his most-often quoted thought on leadership, first shared
in the 1980s, holds closely to his personal track record:
“Be willing to make decisions. That's the most important quality in
a good leader. Don't fall victim to what I call the
ready-aim-aim-aim-aim syndrome. You must be willing to fire.”

I'm talking about T. Boone Pickens. He is a true expression of an
entrepreneur. Pickens is afflicted with the inherent restlessness that
drives most entrepreneurs. That restlessness manifested itself early
in his life. While he was still a teen, the Holdenville, Oklahoma, native
expanded his newspaper route sales by acquiring surrounding routes
one by one.

Traditional corporate life chafed Pickens. The Oklahoma State
University graduate left his first adult employer, Phillips Petroleum,
and started what would become Mesa Petroleum with $2,500 and a
healthy dose of moxey. He built his company into an independent
powerhouse that challenged and changed the good-old-boy corporate
culture in America.

If you are looking for inspiration, that motivating force to keep you
going when times are tough, when you think you can never build a
business
, just remember, when you are flat of your back, the only
way you can look is up.

It's time you started Making A Difference.

Success Is Always Looking Up

There are times in our lives when the odds are against us and there seems to be nothing we can do to change our situation. There may people around you telling you that you can't do something, or the bills are piled high and no end is in sight.

That's when you have to understand that you can't do it by yourself and that you are not in charge. You have to step back and let Him take control. Sure you have the choice and that is one thing that we all have, a choice.

A choice to succeed or let our world around us come crashing in and destroy our dreams, hopes and steal our joy. So the question is what do you do?

I suggest that you keep looking up. Never give in to the temptation to quit or just throw in the towel. Understand there will be setbacks on your way to success and that you will, with faith, overcome and reach your goal. Success can be yours.

Yes, it can be hard to keep looking up but then you can tell yourself that when flat of your back, which other way can you look.

Success starts with you and a decision. Be the drop that makes a thousand ripples.

A Formula For Success

What is your formula for success? Do you have a plan or just an idea?

Of course success starts with an idea but until you have a plan, in writing, your chances of succeeding are limited.

My simple concept is plan, practice, implement, repeat. This will lead you to your desired success if you have the desire to achieve what you want. You can't just want something and expect to attain it without these four steps.

Post your thoughts on this concept and let everybody know what you think.

Are You Stuck On First?

Are you stuck on first? Is your life and your business just sitting there doing nothing? Does each day simply become another?

If this sounds like you, then you need to steal second base. Before you shake your head and think I've gone crazy, think about this. If you don't at least try to steal second, you will always be on first base and never reach home plate. On the other hand, if you at least attempt something, there is a good chance you will have success.

It's not the number of times you get thrown out that count but how many bases did you steal. So if you are stuck  or in a rut, then you need to learn how to steal second.

These are some crazy facts that you should know. Click Here.
